North Shore Golf Course, Skegness, Lincolnshire

Links Golf Breaks at Lincolnshire Golf Course Skegness

The east coast's premier Links Golf Course

This superb Golf Course was modelled by the 1910 St. Andrews Open winner James Braid and is overlooked by the North Shore Hotel. Braid himself is regarded as a world wide course creator and was at the forefront of course architects and playing ability in the early 1900s.

A challenge for all levels of golfer

Braid's challenge was to transform a unique blend of exposed coastline and lush tree lined parkland into a course that would challenge every hickory shaped club. Like all good seaside course designers Braid made use of the strong easterly wind which can cause even the best players a headache. The wind hits your drive on 5, 10, and 15 from the right and on the 13 and 17 head on. With a strong wind behind you on 11 and 14 it makes club selection a nightmare, these holes made Braid both a genius and a demon.
